How can I begin from dust?
Though weary, I trust in my step
My shadow is growing but only behind me
Ascendance in each breath
I see the sun, can it be for me?
The liquid sky feels warm around me and I take a sip
I can feel my feet no longer, could it be that I’m floating?
I’m discovering a new freedom
I spread my arms like wings and tilt my head to the clouds
I’m awake
Julie Wilkinson and Joyanne Horscroft are the Makerie Studio, a creative collaboration
producing unique three dimensional paper sculptures for both commercial and artistic purposes. Using specialised papers and intricate detailing, Makerie Studio design and create structural showpieces for window installations, advertising, editorials and private collectors. Inspired by forgotten worlds, rare prints and the beauty of details, Makerie Studio create distinctive pieces using uniquely developed techniques, precision and passion.
